Remember when you were a little girl and loved playing with your dolls? Confession, I still love dolls and all the fun things they have to go with them these days. But, now I have a beautiful 4-year-old named Lorelai who also LOVES playing with dolls. It's hard... but I try to contain myself and not go crazy when we are in a toy/doll store.
Her very first baby doll was this adorable Madame Alexander Baby Huggums doll. We got it for her when she was just 6 months old and she loved it.
As she has grown there have been other baby dolls to join the family, like this Cry Babies doll. Personally, this was not one of my favorites but she really enjoyed it.
By far her favorite doll has been her Annabell baby doll. This doll is super cute! She has a soft body and vinyl head, arms and legs. She acts like a real baby and makes realistic sounds like babbles, gurgles and laughter. My favorite thing is when her mouth moves when you give her a bottle or pacifier - so cute! Annabell can open and close her eyes and can even shed real tears! Little ones can also feed baby Annabell using the bottle and when you squeeze her tummy, she actually tinkles in her diaper. Even though Lorelai has had her for a few years, Baby Annabell is still her favorite doll.
Her most recent doll was an Our Generation Doll named Sienna, which she got for Christmas. This is a beautiful doll and she has really enjoyed changing her clothes and brushing her hair. The Our Generation Sienna doll is very similar to the American Girl dolls. Given how pricey the American Girl dolls are... I want to wait a bit and see if Lorelai continues to love playing with her Sienna doll or not. If she does, we may have to make a trip to the American Girl store... 😱
